Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 plus 4600 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/Orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.”
Essential Qualificaiton (s):
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION-
Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute .
EXPERIENCE-
Two Years’ experience as a supervisor or as Junior Engineer in execution of Civil Engineering works in a Central or State Govt. Department or Undertaking
Note - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified
Duty(ies):He is in-charge of the Civil Works Wing of the Project and is responsible for construction and maintenance of all buildings, slipway and workshop other than those entrusted to CPWD. He is responsible for the preparation of estimates, tendering for works, preparation of contractor’s bills, annual maintenance work, upkeep of premises and campus, Guest House etc. He also keeps the cash book of the Works branch.
Probation: Two Years
Other Details:General Central Services, Group ‘B, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions: Liable to serve anywhere in India.
