About ITBP: ITBPF was raised on 24 Oct,1962.Presently ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes raging from 9000’ to 18700’ in the Western,Middle and Eastern Sector of the Indo-China Border.
 ITBPF is a specialized mountain Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Being the first responder for natural disaster in the Himalayas, ITBPF has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations.
ITBP Recruitment 2014 – 229 Head Constable (Telecommunication) Posts: Indo-Tibetian Border Police Force (ITBP), Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification for the recruitment of Head Constable (Telecommunication) vacancies of General Central Service Group ‘C’ (Non Ministerial) on temporary basis. Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 18 – 25 years as on 24-10-2014, i.e should not have born earlier than 24-10-1989 & not later than 24-10-1996. Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from recognized board or university.
PAY SCALE AND OTHER ALLOWANCES :
Pay Scale-Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200 Plus Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (PB – 1).
Other Allowances :- The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing  Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified Border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, free leave pass concession and any other  allowance as admissible in the Force  from time to time under the rules/instructions. This post will be covered under new Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.

Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for recruitment test and interview.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.50/- in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices and Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got canceled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office. SC, ST, Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from fee.
