Job Description:
Finance and Planning (F&P) division is one of WW Finance Center of Excellence of IBM. It supports various Geo's for IBM Services business. Financial Analysts are groomed to be a Trusted Business Advisor to maximize Business results apart from imbibing 1-3-9 culture by demonstrating IBM values and practices. In-depth understanding of Financials for the Line of Business, working together with Business to develop Forecast, regular interlock with Business to finalize Financial outlook to avoid month/quarter close surprises are some of critical requirements. Finally, it is very important to be communicative - being pro-active in updating Business and Unit Finance Managers on any issues along with possible solutions and take full ownership and personal responsibility in driving results.
The profile requires the selected candidates to support a team in preparation of finance / accounting deliverables.
The profile would require the selected candidates to perform the following functions:
- Work on contract financials / spend / balance sheet analysis to drive the performance at LoB level.
- Interlock with client to develop a forecast and also prepare roadmaps to achieve the targets.
- Act as a Trusted Business Advisor (TBA) to drive signings, revenue and profits.
- Prepare measurements and bridges to provide insights on financial performance of a Business Unit.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in accounting and finance.
- Knowledge of contract billing, revenue and profitability concepts.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Being a team player and willingness to learn.
